What did Jerry Speziale REALLY do with the money?
According to Campaign Finance Reports filed and certified by Jerry Speziale, his wife, and his attorney:
Reported collecting nearly $80,000 in interest payments by keeping campaign money in interest bearing accounts, but has not reported a tax payment on more than $59,000 accrued since 2015.
Reported nearly $45,000 in political contributions to keep his law enforcement career afloat and further his political ambitions:
Almost $10,000 of DEMOCRATIC donor money given to REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES & CAUSES
More than $27,000 given for Mayors and Council members who hired him for municipal jobs.
Reported more than $12,000 on cell phone service for a “campaign phone” beginning in 2013 - three years after he last had a campaign.
Reported more than $31,000 paid to his wife for filing campaign finance reports -basically money into his own pocket.
With an inactive campaign, Speziale’s ELEC reports averaged 3 interest payments and 5 expenditures to list, which should take no more than 15 minutes each to complete.
Speziale has paid his wife as much as $1,500 per report, a staggering $6,000 per hour. By contrast, a licensed attorney was paid $750 per report as the previous treasurer.
Reported giving $1,500 to local Trump MAGA Organizer Joe DiPasquale - the same person who for the past month has been putting up Speziale Team campaign signs in violation of local ordinances in Paterson and in Wayne.
